About MNR Helpline

Compassionate care and evidence-based addiction treatment in the heart of St Paul, Minnesota

Our Story & Mission

Building hope and restoring lives in Minnesota since our founding

How We Began

MNR Helpline was founded with a singular vision: to create a sanctuary of healing for individuals and families affected by addiction in the St Paul, Minnesota community. What began as a small residential program on Grand Avenue has grown into one of the most respected treatment centers in the Twin Cities region, serving patients from across Minnesota and beyond.

Our founders recognized a critical gap in accessible, high-quality addiction treatment services in the greater St Paul area. Too many individuals were falling through the cracks of a fragmented healthcare system, unable to find comprehensive care that addressed the full spectrum of their needs. Driven by this understanding, they established a facility that combines clinical excellence with genuine compassion, creating an environment where true transformation is possible.

Today, our campus at 648 Grand Avenue stands as a beacon of hope in the St Paul community. Every detail of our facility has been designed with healing in mind, from the tranquil meditation gardens to the modern therapy suites. We have helped thousands of individuals reclaim their lives from addiction, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to expanding access to world-class treatment for every person who walks through our doors.

Our Mission

To provide compassionate, evidence-based addiction treatment that empowers individuals and families to achieve lasting recovery. At MNR Helpline, we believe that every person deserves access to personalized care that addresses the mind, body, and spirit, fostering resilience, self-discovery, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Our Treatment Approach

Holistic, evidence-based, and individualized care designed for lasting recovery

Treatment Philosophy

At MNR Helpline, we believe that effective addiction treatment must address the whole person, not just the substance use. Our holistic, evidence-based approach integrates proven clinical therapies with complementary wellness practices, creating a comprehensive framework for sustainable recovery.

Every treatment plan at our St Paul facility is individually tailored following a thorough biopsychosocial assessment. Our multidisciplinary team collaborates closely to design programs that account for each patient's unique history, co-occurring conditions, personal strengths, and long-term goals. This individualized methodology ensures that care is never one-size-fits-all.

We understand that addiction is a complex, chronic condition influenced by biological, psychological, and social factors. By addressing all three dimensions simultaneously, we equip our patients with the tools, coping strategies, and support networks they need to sustain recovery long after they leave our campus.

Our Treatment Modalities

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Identifies and restructures negative thought patterns and behaviors that fuel addiction. Patients learn practical coping skills to manage triggers and prevent relapse.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Focuses on emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness to help patients manage intense emotions without resorting to substance use.

Group Therapy

Facilitated sessions where patients share experiences, build mutual support, and practice interpersonal skills in a safe, structured environment guided by licensed clinicians.

Individual Counseling

One-on-one sessions with licensed therapists that address personal trauma, co-occurring mental health disorders, and develop a personalized relapse prevention strategy.

Family Therapy

Engages family members in the healing process, repairing relationships, establishing healthy boundaries, and building a strong support system for sustained recovery.

12-Step Facilitation

Structured introduction to the 12-step philosophy and fellowship, connecting patients with peer support communities that extend well beyond their time in treatment.

Holistic Therapies

Yoga, meditation, art therapy, music therapy, equine-assisted therapy, and mindfulness practices that nurture the mind-body connection and support overall wellness.
